WET BEACH DETECTING

RON

New member
HI GUYS AND GALS IM NEW TO THIS FORUM AND IM WONDERING IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME FIND A GOOD UNDERWATER DETECTOR. HAVE A WHITES BEACH HUNTER BUT ITS TOO HEAVY WITH WEIGHTS. I VE BEEN USING AN OLD EXPLORER 11. ITS VERY GOOD AND IVE FOUND SOME VERY NICE THINGS BUT IT KEEPS GETING WET... IM LOOKING AT A FISHER I BELIEVE ITS A 1280 OR SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE WHAT DO YOU THINK RON

A 1280X ix a good machine. But one beep for all targets. I like the high low and medium beeps on the CZ-21. Lots of good choices out there. Good luck in your selection.

The Beach Hunter is a really good machine, may work better with a straight shaft OR you can chest/ belt mount it. I'm sure some other guys will tell you the same. I have a 1280X it works at the beach but you need to be IN or OUT of the water and if you're IN saltwater you need to turn the sensitivity down to keep it from falsing/ chattering. The 1280X works great in freshwater and on land. If I had a Beach Hunter I would not be looking for another water machine unless I planned on going deeper than it's 25 foot limit. Good Luck!

Hey Ron,

Why don't you get the new Super 12 coil installed on your Beach Hunter ID for $260. plus s&h!!!

It's an amazing coil that goes really DEEP! The pinpointing is spot on, the coil is neutrally buoyant, fast response, hot on small stuff!

You can't go wrong with it and you'll save heaps of money too!!!:super:
