Western VA dirt and coin hunting detector

kickback

New member
I'm moving to the western end of Virginia.I've heard the dirt there is mineralized. Will the F series detectors work good for coin hunting there?Would I be better off with a 1270 and extra coils to hunt in this soil?Any help, experience or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

What county are you moving to? I am in Floyd and it is somewhat that way. I use a CZ7a Pro and a 1235 and they do well. I just ground balance the CZ and check it every so often.
