I was just looking over the other sections on this forum and went to a couple of the "Classroom" sections. Having the X-Terra 70 is such a joy. Read the FAQFAQ section and the posts by members and go out and detect. Like any detector it takes time to really learn your machine well, but the XT-70 has such an easy learning curve that there is no need to go out and buy a book or spend hours and hours in the field missing targets because the detector is so complicated. We have a detector that does everything pretty darn well and is user friendly. No need to try and tweak it.
Minelab really did a great job putting such great technology in such a light weight package. For the price, the XT-70 is the best detector on the market, bar none :clapping:
Thanks again to Barnacle Bill. The FAQFAQ section made learning the XT-70 such a joy. I'm still learning every time I take the 70 out, and don't claim to be an expert, but I'm way ahead of many others with other brands that are not so user friendly.

Good hunting, John K

I agree 100%! When my X-70 arrived I had read the faqfaq, downloaded the owners manual and read it, and had printed the coin ID #'s. I went out and hunted the 1st day. Now mid you I am better with it now, but I hunted right out of the box, Beale.

I agree and at yours and others suggestion I'm still reading all of them. It took my 6 months to find my 1st small nugget in AZ. Now I can see the learning curve wont be as long plus detecting in general helped me out a little A little bit more Reading and getting into a good spot I hope to Find those older coins I'm looking for! Thanks to all on the forum an FAQ'S, Grant
