Its 22 miles driving distance from Belmont to San Francisco and i took a couple SF pictures from a vista point in Belmont...I dont know how far it is in a straight line.

I dont know my landmarks but im told that the bridge is the Oakland Bay Bridge...big long bridge....i believe that it is the ones with defaulted bolts and nuts...they are working on it (?)

Hope i didnt over do posting these ..

What bridge has the defaulted bolts and nuts? I don't think that I like the sound of that. Do they have earth quakes in this part of California too? Kelley (Texas) :)

I ll double check myself but i believe it is the one in the picture....Oakland Bay Bridge...according to what i just read (quickly) there are 1200 bolts made of steel used in bolts that are not allowed tobe used on other structures across the country due to possible failure......i believe we have a couple califonia forum members that may have better information....San Francisco area supposedly is waiting for the big one to shake rattle and roll the area...the last one i recall is the one when they had the world series in SF back in 1989....im about 3+hrs away and i felt it...
they probably have earthquakes often recorded by machines but most folks probaby dont even notice them...
