Summer has certainly ended where the beaches are concerned here. It was a nice day and the tide was very low so I headed out to see if I could find some gold. Clad (coins) was all that I was digging........and out in the deeper water I started digging what I thought was another coin.......to my surprise........Mr. Clam was in my scoop!! He was a coin sound on the Excal!! I did not take him home because there are rules against taking of shellfish in this area and since the Department of Enviromental Protection dogs were lurking about, I did not want to take any chances.
