[/img] Got back to the fairgrounds today started early , decided to try a new spot out in the open 20 minutes in and 3 beavertails i get a 12.38 12.43 at 7 inches i thinking screw cap but that's pretty deep, dig down out comes a 1904 barber dime sweet , some more beavertails and 45 minutes later i get 12,33 jumpy at 6 inches dig out some foil and a 1889 Indian in super shape.I'm getting freaking hot so i go over to a faucet out in the field its been leaking for a long time there's a puddle in front of it i get a drink and scan across the puddle bang 12.45 solid like a rock 10 inches deep. So i look around and don't see anybody there's 2 inches of water sitting there and i said i going for it so i start digging in the soup pit get about halfway down and its caving in so like the kid i am 56 years young i start digging in there with my hand got mud up to my elbow someones walking across the fair grounds to the swing sets thank God the other way.I keep probing with my hand and get something round and smooth pull it out and just look at it and shook my head 1914s barber half its been 15 years since i got the last one.So I'm hot i head for the trees 6 or 7 beavertails later i get a 12.11 12.14 i dig as always 4 inches down 1897 v nickel this is the first one that i got that's kind of fried out of the 10 i have found here.About a hour later and 2 wheat's in the teens i get a super 10 inches hit on a 12.44 i start digging through tree roots and bone dry powder dirt and finally get it on top WTF clad dime 10 inches whatever. So 2 feet away i get another12.44 reading 9 inches i kind of pissed at the last dig so i start digging get it on top its a 20 merc i smile a little bit and go that was worth it.It's getting to be about noon and i decide to head back to the car because its friggy hot half way back i get a12.35 12.38 at 8 inches i' thinking indian get about half way down and get a pulltab but still have signal in hole keep digging and out comes barber #3 1903 oyea nice way to end the day. I got 9 hunts with the ctx in this fairground and always pull some nice coins after to day I'm ready for a skunk. Anyway i have found is to slow down the coins are there and most of whats left will always be there masked by garbage MINELAB i want my 6 inch coil.So i have been pounding the nickels here 10 Vs 30 Jefferson's oldest 54 rest 80 on up and one slick buff where are the buffs.Did someone clean all the nickels out years ago and Jefferson's.

Wally I don't always find good stuff but i do know where to look.Find a place that had a lot of people at it a long time ago this fairgrounds been here since 1870 that's why I'm working it first.9 hunts so far everyone has returned good coins.Average depth on coins is 4 to 6 inches and some deeper. Look for the trashy areas i guarantee you there are super coins there just take your time you will not find them all but the ones you do will put a smile on your face There will always be coins there just by the number of people that have been there and there hid in the garbage or deep.I started over 40 years ago with a bfo 19.95 i found a lot more coins with that than any detector i have own since and i had to dig everything. To give you a example i met some older guys that were using compass tr detectors they were working a big church that had picnic grounds were i lived they took 2 pint jars of silver dimes out of there that's several thousand dimes.I have been back there with a ex 2 and have found 15 silver dimes there, and there's plenty of dimes still there waiting for the ctx.One tip i cannot stress enough is slow down and really work the signals you do find because the coins are there you just got to sort it out.Thankx sube
