Went to Garrett today!

What a cool place! I had to take my propointer in since it was acting up. Talk about friendly people and great service! I got to tour the museum and even met a couple techs who were working on a new tool. Everybody was as nice as they could be. I also got to talk about the 2500 and two-box, etc. Guess I need to start saving my pennies..and digging up more stuff!

TOPS in the business and a reflection of the companies founder. Im glad to see his son is in the business, too, to carry on.

Nope. I did see a cool new tool but not gonna talk about it. I wasn't aware that they were coming out with a new detector though... That's interesting. As it is I'm strongly considering selling the minelab to help fund the 2500!

Never been there but I know it must have been a great experience.
Got my first Garrett around 1977 and they have always treated me
like I was someone special. Don't see that much from some places
these days. I think that's why they do as well as they do. They really
care about their customers. It's not just something they say.
That's what I think anyway. Glad you had that experience.
Good hunting to you ! Gene

LOL... I don't know if it's supposed to be secret or not but I told them I wouldn't tell anybody! Now if I WOULDN'T have told them that...it would be different! What I'd REALLY like to know is what is this rumor of new top-of-the-line detector?

Yeah, that is a cool place. Wifey and I still haven't been there since they remodeled the place and made it larger than it was. They are very friendly folks and will even give you a tour of the factory. :garrett: Garrett ROCKS!!!:yo: Happy Hunting!:)

Don't you try pull the wool over our eyes agin Dave  You did a great job the last time you did that.
If you are referring to the "The Great 1350 Upgrade Hoax" - well..., I wouldn't dream of doing that again! My message box was jammed for a week after that.... :surprised:

I'd love to have the opportunity to go through there. Perhaps I'll get the chance to go the States one day and I'll see if I can line them up as a place to visit if I do.
We like to be teased by news of new detectors.:poke: So if we wait long enough, we might see what comes out next. There was a hint that what ever it is, it might be out with the next 2 - 3 months. Nothing official of cause, just rumour by a moderator that likes teasing us.
Mick Evans.

Hey bud old Vaughan Garrett told me that himself. I'm fixing to write to him or call him soon and see where it is and when it is. :)
