(I only posted my finds)We got some great old finds. Donnie found a 1754 reale(it is one of the nicest coins I've seen and held) and 3 old brittish coppers(1 was 1721) at this spot earlier this week. We thought we might be able find some more but Donnie must have got all the real old ones with his trusty IDX Pro. We had a blast and had a large area of woods to hunt. We found some nice colonial buttons, a cuff link, an IH or two, some musketballs and lots of iron relics.Butch and Carl got along great with Donnie and he invited us to hit a 1700's home site in a field which has never given up a coin or button yet. We figured with a few guys we might change that. I got the first find after a half hour. it was a lead or pewter clam shell, then a nice big button, after that the area started getting hot. I guess we all tuned in at once. The guys found a few IH's an 1871 Canadian nickle, a couple buttons and just as we were leaving Donnie got an 1822 Large Cent! We stayed for a bit after that and Carl got a beautiful square shoe buckle. I found the least but didn't mind a bit. I got to use the X5 all day and enjoyed swinging it in the trash. I picked the buttons out in iron the other guys had been avoiding until a few buttons came out. It was a great day and a great birthday present. I got home at 9:00P.M. and my wife even had dinner waiting. Life is good. Also wondered if the large iron could be from an artillery shell. Thanks for looking and have a good one!

Butch gave me a strap for the X5 from the Tejon and it worked out great. The detector is really light but I did miss having a strap.

We put the brittish coppers and 2 reale in there to spice it up a bit. The coins on the right include IH's, a buffalo and a wheatie.

Great to see the strap will work for you. Gonna try to get out this weekend again, weather permitting. Let me know if your going to be around.
