Went to Clearwater to visit Gustav

My married son called to see if I wanted to tag along on his trip to Clearwater to go surfing. He had a 7 hr. window (4 kids at home) so 3 1/2 hr. round trip left us with 3 1/2 hrs. to play. The outer bands of Gustav had the surf up on Clearwater today. We didn't go to the main part of beach so the hunting was not so good. For the locals, North of Rock A Way bar and grill is a waist of time. I did find some clad and a toy car. I spent 2 hrs. in the water getting knocked around. The surf was to big to hunt with ease, but to small for good surfing. By 8pm the waves were to be twice as big. I did get to spend some quality time with my son, so all was good. Here is a short spin.

Havent been getting much there either. Lucked out the other day with a nice pair of D &G sunglasses. Thre just hasnt been the beach crowds like last summer.
Hopefully Pattys machine will be back from its month long sabatical at minelab. Sent in for a what may have been a broken wire, sure hope they fixed it.
Looks like you had some fun times with the family.

Happy Hunting
