Well my darling wife secured a permission we've been talking about and we finally had a thaw (two weeks ago). We are now covered in snow here in WNY. Two old farm houses that have been abandoned for sometime. We didn't spend a long time there but was nice to get out. Found one LC and a lot of nails. I had the 705 and she's trying to learn the 305 but having a little trouble. We can walk to the one house so this summer we will be busy for sure.

Congratulations on the LC! That sounds like a site that could take all summer to cover from all directions. Sure is nice that it's within walking distance!
What sort of trouble is your wife having with her 305? Anything that we could help her with?

Well she's had a couple months to 1. Read the manual and 2. Read Diggers book. She hasn't accomplished either yet but I think she understands what she needs to do. She watched a few YouTube videos but honestly we don't usually get a thaw so we were well ahead of the curve. Yes both sites will take a long time to cover setting up for a productive year.
