Went to a hunted out spot

Well-known member
and found a 1925 and 1953 wheatie and a 1960 wheatie. My cousin told me I would not find much as they had both hunted it, I just smiled and went on. A little later he showed up and was whatching me dig a target out popped the 1953 and I said I thought you hunted this out he just laughed. I was happy to find those coins as the grass was about a foot tall .

nice job, no place is ever completely hunted out..........wheat pennies were made from 1909-1958 so if you found a 1960 it had to be a memorial penny

I like it when somebody tells me that a place is hunted out. It just makes me work a little harder too find an old coin at that place.
