Went swishing in the lake and found some gold...

Went back to the lake this evening. Took the waders, home made scoop and Styrofoam floating table and went swishing, knee deep with my XLT which put me at about chest level at normal water levels in this partially drained lake. Hunted for about two relaxing hours even though a swisher knows that a water hunt moves in slow motion, everything about it moves slow. Struggled on several pull tabs trying to get them out of their home but I did well retrieving targets in swish mode. The XLT did great considering it

in October, it runs through the last week of September and the first weekend of October then the party is over. My last trip to Octoberfest, we had to leave the fest to get a beer as you have to have a seat to order a beer and we couldn't get seats with our small group of 8 people. Went to a great beer hall instead, not the Hofbrau house, another one just as famous and had a great time as there were very few people there. Long story but Munich is great and so is Octoberfest. HH, Mike

in the army years ago, & he has B& W pics of him & the boys in those beer halls. He also had a couple of those grey crockery looking mugs...."steins"? with the blue letters he brought home. Sad to say he sold them at a yard sale.......
