The wife and I decided last week to drive to Savannah and work our way back up through South Carolina along the coast. We didn't have a plan at all and just winged it the whole way which turned out to be a great way to do it.I didn't get that much detecting in but managed a nice little 14k ring with 4 small diamonds from a beach on Tybee Island and a nice quality silver bracelet with 14k gold ends from another beach on Hilton Head island. The ring had been in the water awhile but the silver bracelet wasn't in that bad shape ,just needs polishing. We really enjoyed the Savannah area but South Carolina is our choice for future adventures. You can never run out of places to go detecting down that way in 3 lifetimes.[attachment 24365 p1010004.jpg]
The other pic is of finds from my spot the "Enigma",just before we left town I went out detecting and as I'm heading out the door my wife says "find me an emerald cut" and laughs. Sure enough The only good thing I found that day was the emerald cut citrine. I told her she should have been more specific and said emerald cut diamond
The other 2 I snagged today, the 1924 class ring I belive is from St.Pascal in Chicago and the other is nice 14k plain band but has some weight to it.Haven't been able to respond to all the great posts lately but there have been some outstanding finds lately and the 2006 season appears to have started in earnest now.
