Our big chest freezer (25 cu ft) that was about full died! :( So we had to go out and get another. This time we bought an upright. Good thing is that God made sure we caught it before we lost all the contents! :) Thanks Lord!
 
We had about the same thing happen, and it was almost worth it to experience the upright. Yhings can be organized so much better. Yow can get right to what you want without moving everything.
God is so good, that you didn't loose your food. A freezer full of food represents a lot of money.
 
to notice that your freezer wasn't working before all the food spoiled! And you will really like the upright, as I have a 1964 Amana upright and it is still working...... no chest type for me! :)
