Went to an area that burned this last August. Now is the time to get in before the brush and poisen oak grow back and they are already showing signs of a good start. Didnt find any Gold today. Found an old miners cup, some cartige casings, lead bullets, square nail and a vial full of Mercury . When I first uncovered the vial, it looked like a AA battery but this area hasnt been visited since those small batteries have been manufactured. When I picked it and realized it was a small bottle, I was amazed how heavy it was. My first thought was that it was full of Gold dust, but when I removed the cap, I discovered it was Mercury. Mercury was used in the old days to seperate the fines from the waste. Goin after it again tomorrow.

It's gotta be there waiting for you!!

I would have to make sure somebody didn't recyle (put back it back in the bottle) the mercury with a little gold in it.
