Went Over The Border And One Of Us Found Silver

We went to do an errand and needed to travel near Toronto

We brought our ET's and intended to find a park and do some detecting:twodetecting:

Well Brian found these two Canadian Large Cents dated 1915 and 1917 and a 1942 Canadian George VI Quarter and a George the VI Penny

I found a No Date Wheat:cry:

Then when we returned we went out again and he found a 1959 Rosie

I found a Canadian Penny(the small regular variety)

Everyone has their Day!

Thanks For Viewing

I think the E track finds more silver than any other detector , great finds

Good looking finds for you and Brian, Eva! Congratulations on 'em and thanks for the pictures.

Thank You for the nice thoughts and comments

No one asked but I did not sulk or cry when I was shut out because we all have days like that:help:

He still talks about the Half Penny and Gold Rings i found so everyone has his/her day

Way to go Bandit! You guys did well. :) Georgeous Georgius!

May your country return the favour when I head on down to Connecticut in the fall for some poker and detecting. :twodetecting:

Are you guys still using my mini shovel or has it gone to diggers heaven?? It's so nice to see all of your success. I read every day.

I live in Canada (Toronto area)..Originally from North Carolina and Mississippi area---Did you find that the pennies (clad) rang like silver or is it my ears. The Canadian Pennies seem to give off 12-45 and sometimes jump to 12-47 and makes your heart stop thinking you have silver. The Silver (80%) sound like an ok target and the pennies have a real high pitched sound. Just wanted someone else's opinion who has hunted here in Ontario. The Current Clad after 2000 especially is Metal and not worth the hastle but these pennies are driving me Crazy.

I pmed you Canadadig

I hope it helps

A while ago I posted my frustration at finding Memorials with high TID's

It seems that this occurs on occasion and happened to both of us today several times while detecting
We both found some decent stuff today and I will post the finds in the next few days but Brian got Silver again and knew it even as he also got good signal and found pennies

Oh well, but it seems when you do find Silver it really does sound and look different from the false Silver reading when you get a MEMORIAL

Good Luck and HH

Congrats Eva...Eh! Yep I have found a few Canadian pennies, King George type and older Lizy and they do tend to ring 12-45 quite often.

Hey! Leave our silver alone! :)

Seriously though, nice finds!

One thing I've noticed for sure is, as you circle the target, memorials will often change in pitch (which also means the numbers). I've seen them change as much at 4 numbers (Ex. 47 down to 43). Silver usually stays locked on solid with one "sweet" tone.

Thanks Troy

I will pay attention and test your theory and let you know

This is a great digging tool I made when I was detecting and since I have retired from my etrac because of my health I sold everything to Eva so she now has my home made digging tool which is just about indisructable.
