Hit the mulch playground a State park near me. Finally settled on some new settings that'll I'll keep. Was able to pick up some more deep clad from an area I've hit twice before. Wasn't planning on hitting the beach today but Vicky was busy with school work...
Drove out of my way to hit a different beach. There were sooooo many people hunting there, I thought I interrupted a club hunt.
Because of the storm there was considerable beach erosion. The high water took all of the loose sand out leaving a reddish, black base. I don't know what was in this stuff but it was reeking havoc on the Exp II. I thought there might be something wrong with the machine so I went back to the beach I normally hunt. It was fine there.
All in all, no gold or silver but I did pick up some deep clad. Nice to see the sun for a change. It's rained here for 8 days straight. I should be able to give my beach a shot tomorrow before I have to go play for the Katrina benefit concert.
