So what do you do ,get out of the water, take the dry suit off ,do your thing put it back on and back in the water or do you put on a wet suit ,do your thing like everyone Else and keep on hunting?? Which is better ??

Guys, I am sure that this is a stupid question, but does a dry suit keep you dry without a wet suit, if you are only wading in waste deep water? I know nothing about wet suits or dry suits and have never used either one. I am 5 ft 8 in. and weigh 185 pounds and have a little beer belly. I tried on a wet suit ((size large, 3mm) and with my beer gut had trouble getting it on and off and the wife said that I looked like Kermit the Frog, plus I could not get it completely zipped up the back, so I gave up on the wet suit and decided to just wade without one. How about educating me on them please. I don't want to spend a large sum of money and be stuck with something that I can't use.

just get u self a chest WADER neopreene one if u only going in weist deep .... yes the drisuit keep u dry

try going to serf shop and try few wet suit on they have wetsuit for every shape

TC is right, waders and a Manual inflate PFD.

If you go drysuit go bigger..I'm 5'11 185 I went extra large...more space for warm cloths, and much easier getting into. Try getting one with a relief zipper, and front entrance. Good pair of neoprene gloves and some talcum power for easier in and out. I put thin plastic cleaning gloves on first, then the neoprene gloves slip right on, and off. A neoprene hood will help also, I just picked up some retirement goodies a month ago..121 dollars.

my drusuit has boot on them but they are little small i have 5mm semi-dry gloves ..dont like the hood headphones slip off

but i will try the plastic gloves idea ..i will try to get some from a friend who own a deli
thanks obn !!

those thin clear deli gloves are perfect. what normally takes a few minutes of struggling to get both neoprene's on, they glide on perfect in less then 10 seconds with those slipper plastics. I seen a guy years ago struggling with his neoprene boot foot waders, told him to use plastic trash bags..he tried it and I thought he was going to give me a hug he was so happy.
