Great weather in Upstate NY- searched a small bank on the edge of parking lot where there was an 1880 city mission. Got nothing old but oddly enough over $6.00 in recent clad. None of it was underground, its as if someone just tossed handful of change everywhere. Its too small to sled on, and no bus stop nearby, it makes no sense. Retreated to a nearby property where I got my second Barber half two year ago, along with a few mercs, wheaties, and IH and bam I get a nice 1887 Indian head penny, Weather permitting Im going back in the morning. I have covered that place several times before, gonna do it again. It was fun getting the Indian on my second outing of the season. I have some nice old private estates to hunt in the next few months, cant wait. Good hunts all. CO

Nice on the IH. After almost 40 years with this hobby, I still get amazed at where certain treasure can be found. It is fun to get surprised, isn't it? HH jim tn

Lots of change laying around after the snow melts, but if its not something like that, I dont have an answer. Every once in a while somebody falls down or drops a bunch of loot in the strangest most unlikely places..sure hope you find such a situation that happened back in the 1800's! NIce Indian, Os! :clapping:

E-Tom, that makes sense. Two sides of the lot are timbered shored walls up against neighboring properties and a third along a very busy thorough fare. As per the local ordinance prohibiting pushing the snow into the street, the only place left to put that snow would of been up on that bank. CO

Man! If you find a snow pile location that has had snow pushed there for years...theres gonna be a lot more loot, and possibly some gold.

nice goin' mudd! chiefs are a real rush!
just sayin'
