:super: You found lots of stuff for a little bit of hunt time. Nice job. :clapping: The silver is real nice.

Dont know what the marble looking thing is, but I like it. Looks like some gothic thing or some wizard items.

Love it. Pulling old bottles out of the mud is how I started collecting when I was a kid.

Hello,

Concerning the Whatzit with the marble...does the metal "cage" have a hole in it? It looks like it may be some type of one-way valve/check-valve. Actually has me curious...I'll do a bit of research.

You did really good today !! I would go back again ! ha...Would like too be closer too the ocean to do some MD..

Re: The Marble Whatzit. I have seen similar items made of glass, they were attached to the top of liquor bottles or whiskey decanters after they were opened to enable the liquid to be poured out and the marble sealed the container back when it was set down in an upright position. You never see the marble if it is intact as it is inside the pouring spout.

You found some very nice and interesting items (love to find old locks and keys). Hope you find even more on your next hunt.

Those are exceptional finds!!

Congrats!!
