i was very shocked with this machine went out for about 2 hours and found 26 coins in the park this is the same park i went to with my dfx and found 2 quaters with and thats all i think on the dfx im going by the numbers to much so i dont dig it well i got to say i really like my cibola its a keeper and it goes deep

I know I feel the same way. It took me a while to get used to the thought of not seeing the numbers.. but now I dont miss them , and I can look where Im walking now. Congrats on the Great hunt!!

That's a great hunt by any measure! Nice job! It's amazing how easily those displays can actually diminish you success. I own a couple VID detectors but use them mostly when I'm coin shooting or looking for very specific VID numbers, they're great for that and can save a lot of time. When hunting for both coin and jewelry I use my Vaquero or Compadre, set the disc just above iron, and pretty much dig everything. The DFX is an excellent MD but you need to commit to digging nearly every target. Hmmm, then why would you really need a display in the first place??
