I've been looking for a place to take a buddy hunting on some old ground (old for around here) and try and get him some old coins. He's got knee problems so hiking into the woods is out of the question.Yesterday I drove by an old place that I've had my eye on for over a year but could never catch anyone home and they were having a yard sale so I stopped.The woman said nobody lives in the house anymore and we could detect but said others have done it in the past.Not to be deterred I called Mike and we met at the house and got busy.This was Mikes first real outing and he's using a Whites classic II.He didn't find much this time but now knows the advantage of a pin pointer and headphones.I found a pocket spill of IH's and that is a first for me.The only other IH I had ever found was while scuba diving so I was thrilled.I did dig a few clad but no silver and while retrieving a 1951 wheatie there was this cool orange marble in the whole with it.Can't wait till the yard gets mowed and we can hit other parts of the yard.I think this house has been in the woman's family for a very long time so I'm going to give her one of the IH's and anything else I find that she might have a connection to.Here's a couple pics of the hunt
