Went out with my friend Dan and we had a good time. As for the never hunted site????? Ummmmmmm hunted to death!!!. :rofl:I had a good friend show us two sites and we hit a third later. All the sites were hunted (including 2 right in people's back yard!!). Had a great day, scored some nice finds. The needed tractor trailer turned out to be the size of a match box car. That's the only size I needed. LOL. My buddy did get his first Seated coin, an 1845 Half dime. He was HAPPY.:bouncy: I got some nice items too. Just a great day out and happy the weather still cooperated.

Congrats mon the nice finds! Is that a set of cufflinks in the second picture? In any event you done good, Beale.

Yes Beale, those are colonial cuff links. It is nice when they are still attached, and when they are decorated. Fun stuff to find. Not deep maybe 2" at most.

Hey Coinnut Great Finds , Really Cool cufflinks , and a pair too, pretty rare .
That is a Nice old bell too . Looks like a Fun Day :clapping:

and the new/old bullets, too.

I am not as experienced as some of the people on here but I have noticed myself that areas that are "hunted out" do yield results still. Hitting it at different angles, really gridding it out, using a better MD, better MD habits & skills. I did not know my State Park could be MD in until I saw a post of someone hunting in it and they were from a different state! I have gone there and I have found some old coins and I know in some areas that were worked over BUT I have seen the people who swing there and they have bad habits & cheap machines so when I go in there with a $1,200 machine I am definitely going to get results. Another is too is that people are LAZY! They want fast results so they discriminate everything that is not jewel or coin related which in turn screws them on a lot of older coins and old jewel and certain types of gold. I even told the guy that and he thought I was speaking Martian. My progress here has been because of the collective intelligence of this forum. That is why I am making leaps and bounds compared to someone who is not networking with other MD and using cheap MD's and clinging to bad MD procedures. I even try to repair this gumba's holes when I see them. They are atrocious. I can see MD activity from 60'. away!
