The ground is still too hard to dig without making a mess. I was in a private yard, so didn't want to leave any sign of digging. This home is an 1880s vintage, and the owner doesn't think it has been hunted before. I did a little swishing over the ground, and got some real good signals. Now I will practice being patient until the conditions improve. The one signal I dug for practice was a 1921 wheat at 5 inches.
We had record breaking temp. here yesterday, 105- and wev'e only had like 2 inches of rain in the last month and a half. Thank God things will improve. Let's all pray for the folks in the path of this new storm. Some of the evacuees from Houston are being flown to Arkansas . Poor people have no stability in their life right now. God bless all of them,
and continue to lift their spirits. If it is possible, we should all get involved in some way on those peoples behalf.
