Went from March Madness to Final Four in a blink

Went back to the apartments today cuz.... well just cuz. Started working a lawn area behind one of the buildings and on the second leg of the grid I pull out a 1958 Rosie! jkline was home doing manly chores so i sent him a quick pic. I swear I could hear that Gen 2 Dodge diesel fire up and he lives like 5 miles away!!! Kept swinging and up against a square style curb up pops a 59 Rosie!!! jkline can be heard squealing tires around the last corner now. 😂😂😂

We start working tandem and he throws a small coil on his pole and starts down the curb line. Right now its a blur for me but I think I hit our first silver quarter in the complex first, a 1952!! Then I flipped up a small band of silver that at first I thought it was a pull tab. Pulled out a small silver ring with a monogram on it. After looking closer it appeared to be LHS (which could be Lewiston High School just sough of us) and maybe some letters around the edges. Did I just get my first lost class ring? Needs to cleaned up more first...... Again, not sure of the order of finds right now but I pull a 1918 wheatie up! Thats a bit old for what we have been digging!!

Head around to the front courtyard and begin the attack. Final tally there for me was $3.70 clad and 15 Memorials but no further silvers.
Once home and with 10x loupe, the outside letters on the ring are worn badly and what ever it said is no longer readable. At the bottom you just can make out MINN so thinking if school ring maybe in Minnesota (not sure when states went to two letter abbreviations but four letters dates it some). jkline thinks the ring could be from the teens or twenties from the design, it was pretty close to the 1918 wheat......
I guess technically I now have my first four silver day so wonder if I can get to the finals!
I took a couple of pics of the complex.....

Spent what felt like an eternity looking at vintage rings on the net...... signet style and pretty sure 1925-1935 by both style and wear. From about 12-4 (clock face) I can make out the word HIGH SCxxxL but not the front end name at all. MINN definitely letters at 7-5 position Guessing city name is 5-7 letters.

Not that darn 12 x 10 again.....you have to take it off the stick and let it Kooool down....it is getting too HOT !:hot:
Keep it up !!!!

It definitely has HIGH up at 12 o’clock followed by parts of school, just no town or school name. Cant find a date either.........
Went back today and found a big ol junk ring and three more wheats but no silver. I think this place could get hit everyday for six months and not go blank, just have to work thru 50 years of college trash!

Had the ring looked at by two jewelers and a friend with an expensive color capable loupe. Jewelers (and an Antique Shoppe) all believe most likely between 1920-1940. University has some type of a microscope that might be able to read the imprint behind the letters that are worn away, working on running that down!
