To a surf area that I had not hunted before and ran the Excal. Have been running it on pinpoint and just clicked out of auto. When I get a signal, I switch it over to disc to check for ferrous. Seems to be quite stable and getting good depth. Hunted from 530p-930p through a 656p .9L with a light southerly breeze. Covered a lot of surf and got some ideas about a future follow up. There were just a few areas on the seawall that I wanted to try out. Ended up with a 1972 kennedy 1/2. 1st ever in the surf and a total clad take of $1.65. My headlight had just died when I retrieved my last target, which was the non-ferrous unmarked medallion w/Shamu.
