Went fer a marathon hunt on sunday.......gold/silver

Been real busy and I had not hunted, since 09-17, so I had a heck of a jones going, by sunday afternoon. Went for a solo spin, with the Excal, into a 724P 0.4L and SSE winds at 5-10. Was in the water by 430P and there were lots of bodies there too. Did a little scouting, before I began and saw some nice inventory. This almost did not even get posted, but there is rings and gold, so here it is. The nut was staggering and had to be displayed on 2 speads!

I was not too encouraged by the coin count ($1.77), but was REALLY encouraged by the lead count! I kinda thought with that kind of lead showing, that gold could be near! Well, I got that low gold growl and up comes the earring. It looked just like you see it, when it came outa there too, but when I got it home, checked it out with the glass and 14K! I'll take it! Also a .925 and a junker. The 3 segments are the remnants of a gold plated watch band, that was whole and while in the water, I attempted to loosen and it came to pieces. Looked for the rest of the watch and could not find it.

Was getting a little slow, so I baled at 130A, like I said, marathon!

Wow GH, that sure is a lot of bottle caps... keep them down there :)

Bobbie, I take all the non-ferrous, non-precious metals and fill a Folger's coffee can. Once it's full, I give 'em to the metal recycling guys, who come by the shop and they get some $ for them. I guess I could take 'em, but I had a Country Crock Butter Bowl, full of lead sinkers and the weight was over 30LBS and the guy was only gunna give me $5. I kept them for that, but perhaps I was not at the right place. Perhaps, the bait shops would buy them, who knows, but when we take them out of the wadda, it SMILES!
