Went Digging found stuff......

Sven

Well-known member
Hit a small local beach with a hillside that slopes to the lake that has a 20length of sandy beach from the hill to the water.
Arrived early about 7am only to find a couple people walking their dogs. So I merrily detected away finding some coins and the usual junk. About 9am, dogs were flying around everywhere, probably around 50 of them. And you thought little kids were pests....
Guess the spot is also a popular area to get together and let the dogs exercise and splash around in the lake......I was out of there by 10:30am.

Went to the main beach in the evening for a couple hours, met a few other hunters who hunt it to death. Doesn't bother me, they sure did a good job of cleaning out the junk and making it easier to pick up fresh drops.

Here's my take using the Fisher ID Edge:
3 Toonies
3 Loonies
4 Quarters
14 Dimes
11 Nickels
80 Pennies
I junk ring
1 tiny Canada Pacific Railway button
And a pile of junk mostly from the dog beach

Sven, explain to us Loonies & Toonies, are they $1 & $2 coins.

Exactly that 1 and 2 dollar coins, rather find them than quarters...
