[attachment 207864 seb1.jpg] When I went to the funerals earlier this week, they had just started tearing up the sidewalks in downtown Sebring, my home town for 4 generations. My Step-father called on Thurs. and said that they were nearly done with the first side and that I should hurry as they will start framing them up pretty soon. They replaced them once before when I was in high school and I found Indian pennies, wheaties and some old silver and that was about 30 years ago so I wanted to go back and see what I had missed. It's about an hour and a half away. This is what I saw when I got there. This is looking to the West to the "circle", it's a circle park in the middle of town.

[attachment 207865 seb2.jpg] it had rained really hard over the weekend so before I got my detector out I thought I'd check out the terrain and see what I was up to. This is a 1917 Wheatie that had washed out and was sitting on top of the sand. Things looked promising !

I found a few common nickels and pennies and a 1919 wheat penny as well as a key and some shell casings that I can't identify and that was my take for the day. Any way, this is a quick snap shot of my home town. My Dad's barber shop was right across the street so I know every crack in the sidewalks. Hope y'all enjoyed it.
