went detecting and found a new friend

I was detecting around one of the blocks here in town and a guy came out of his house and we started talking and it turns out him and his wife detect too, we talked about detecting and he showed me a display case of rings and coins and stuff, he said maybe sometime when my girls are in school we could go detecting sometime, he is planning on detecting a farm about a half mile from my home that was recently burned down, I wanted to talk to him some more but the tornado sirens went off so I went home.

I was just thinking, the new guy I met said he has looked through metal detecting forums before but has never posted cause he is not real familiar with the internet, maybe the next time I go talk to him I could bring my camera and ask him if I can take a photo of his display case and the matchbox cars he has found and post it on here for him.

That's cool that you found someone that you can detect with. The old farm sounds like a great place to hunt. Would like to see the pics of his finds. I saw a guy this morning riding his bike and he had a metal detector with him, I should have stopped and talked to him but I had a lot to do on the honey dew list. Let us know if you hunt the farm and what you find.
