Went Cellar Holen'

John M (Ct)

New member
Found a few cellar holes this weekend and decided to give them a try.Started to detect for about 10 mins with out even a junk target and thought something was wrong with my xlt or the site had been hit. Then I got my first target and it was a good one.Out of the hole came a 1847 Half Dime in great shape. After a few more mins I got two buttons and that was it for that site.We moved to the other hole and more things popped up.I got an 1809 Half Cent, thimble, large flat button, buckle parts, and some other odds and ends.
After cleaning up one of the buttons it turned out to be a Connecticut Regiment button catalog #CT13.All in all it was a day I will not forget. Here are some pics and thanks for your time.

Take Care, John
