Went camping and hunting for four days

The moon must have been just right this weekend for hunting. Nancy and I started out a day early before a two day club hunt and stayed an extra day after as well. I got to do some hunting all four days and all four of them were memorable. I will just have to let the pictures speak for themselves. The highlight of the finds for me was my first water hunting gold ring, not much, but hey a gold ring with a diamond is a gold ring with a diamond........ I hit the deep water Saturday afternoon and found coins, trash and fishing gear but it wasn't until I did some dry sand and shallow water hunting Sunday that one of the "foil targets", 11-11 on the CTX 3030, turned out to be a 14K promise ring....... I'll take it

I couldn't get one spot Nancy and I hunted Saturday out of my mind like it was calling to me, so Monday morning I went back and within minutes, found a 1902 Barber quarter just a few feet from the truck. Before I was ready to leave, I added two more IH's to the pouch and one of them was a 1909 plain, a semi key date and eight more wheats.

I ended up with 9 silvers counting the silver nic, three IH's, 36 wheats, two tokens and a gold ring............

The two Washington quarters and a Merc was a sandwiched pocket spill, you can still see where the dime was on one of the quarters before cleaning.

A awesome hunt lots of good coins Congrats.:twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Welcome back, and congrats on the great weekend hunts! Silver quarters, including a Barber, IH cents, Mercs, three dozen Wheats, a gold ring with a rock........ it don't get much better than that. Nicely done! HH Randy

Yep, even as small as it is, it stood out like a sore thumb among the rocks still in the scoop.

I will probably only water hunt a few times a year, but the CTX was flawless in the fresh water lake, no leaks and as stable as can be at +3 in the stock Beach program.

Nice job Larry! Our club has a hunt this weekend at an old turn of the century camp - land and water - hope I do as well as you did!

That looks just like my hunts -- except for the silver, gold, diamonds, and old coins. Great hunt!!

Congrats on all the sweet finds but let me make sure i understand the story completely. These were all in the water/sand and none on land? Thanks charlie and congrats again

No, most of the hunting was on land. There was a small beach at the park that we were camping at and the water was drawn down for the winter. Although the beach was heavaly hit already, they missed one..... Some of the clad came from the beach too but not much. Out of the four days hunting, I only spent about three hours on the beach.

Wouldn't it be nice if your ring was yours to keep? :D

G..

We had a great time, at night I like to play with fire
