Well I guess Dr. Bob and I left a few from our hunt there a while back. The 1897 is a S mint .The Indian was burnt and I think it may have been burnt when the courthouse was burned the second time. All 3 dimes were at the 6" level in heavy cut nails.I think I am going to love this coil,Ray.
PS. Bob the 2 barbers and 2 of the wheats were on the corner right where we were hunting at dark.

that 8x6 is really picking it out for ya. nice finds!

if it would stop the rain showers over this way long enough to dry up some maybe i could get out.

keep it up and HH

Ray,

I gotta say you give me inspiration seeing the junk and the finds together in your photo's. That shows a person what you have to dig to get the good stuff.

Just wondering if you have the Sun-Ray 8" coil and if so, how would you compare the 8x6 to it. I understand that you haven't had the 8x6 that long, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Way to go Ray!!!! I knew there would be more there. I hated to leave that night and would have hunted all night long if family wasn't waiting for me at home.

Looks like that 6x8 is going to be a winner for you, i would like to see what my 6" excelerator would do there.

Congrats my friend:clapping:

BTW, I went out for a short hunt this morning and found one of those rare silver roosies you cant ever seem to find:rofl:

I had the Sunray 8 and liked it a lot but it was not as quiet at high sensitivity like the 8 x 6.I still use the Sunray 5" and like it as well but the 8 x 6 covers more ground and gets more depth so far.It is starting to make me want to try another 12 x 10 sef as the first one I used did not impress me but I think it may have been faulty,Ray.
PS I am going to go use the 8 x 6 some more in a little while.
