Went back out to the cellar hole

Hard going detecting in northern Michigan now. It was 38F today. There was 4 to 6" of packy snow. Was just sweeping the coil on top of the snow. Was using the 5x10dd. It was still hitting larger targets deep. I did dig this. It looks like it's car gauge. The top says Gasoline and the bottome water temperature. Now I need to find out what car it could have been in. Maybe a Ford Model T.

Congrats on having the push to get out there and try. I am hoping for Saturday in central Indiana but we are fighting water now. Maybe I would be better if the ground was frozen. At least I wouldn't be swimming. I like the gauge panel. No idea what it fits but it is cool.

Looks like a Model A ford. Could be wrong. Nice find the 5x10 is awsome.

It went to a dash broad I think, Im looking for a picture right now

I'm working on a picture of the gage itself.

Your right, it could be a car like that. The site goes back to the lumbering days in Michigan. The late 1800's. We found a harmonica top that dated 1900-1910.

Thank you,
Rick N. MI

A close example would be a 1925 Chevrolet or any other popular car dating back to the 1920's. (I owned a 1925 Chevy while in High School in 1948.)
