Went and saw "The Grey" tonight, don't waste your money. The F word was used no less then 200 times in almost every sentence along with every other fo

Yea, I could do without all that also. The "F" bomb seems to be dropped more and more these days. Even though I'm in the construction business, certain words/phrases still make me cringe. The worst, for me is G- da_ _ it.

Swearing is like spices on food, for greatest effect, swears should be used sparingly, and the location, situation, and audience should benefit from its insertion into the language soup. It should also be funny, emphasize a point, or be spontaneous out of fear or surprise....Wolves are not scarey enough to ellicit even a "tinkers cuss", now if they were hyenas, OK, maybe a "Holy Bleep", Big Bears certainly deserve a more creative string of good quality swears, like "Great Merciful blank, theres a blankety blank bear fixing to blanking kill me" or some such.
Just goes to show you the lack of good writers now adays that feel compelled to try to add drama and excitement to a poor script, and relied on grammatical spices to attempt it cheaply, only to find they have ruined the soup. By the way, SteveO I'm with you on that one...

Especially the fast Zombies like in "Dawn of the Dead" it is understandable that a human under this type of duress could unhinge their vocal library with a few quick and perfunctory oaths.
Those slow Zombies in the "Walking Dead" are no scarier than a wolf, and not worth the effort of scrolling through ones mental thesaurus seeking the proper utterance. Yet, the weak premise dictates a back story, and that takes away from the running and shooting, and surviving, which is what we all watch it for. Hence, the swears they insert under the guise of character development are gratuitous at best, filler at worst, and an true annoyance, prohibiting the viewing with children in the room!.
