I went 2 a local junkyard today...2search for parts and was checking out a 94 JEEP CHEROKEE among all the other trashed vehicles. Found 3 wheats lying in the center console. Lucky me..lol. (A 1939,1946 and a 1951) Just thought I'd share that. It was odd....but made me proud. I got to thinking...you know how most junkyards are scattered w/ old vehicles 1959 and older...many early 30's n 40's cars too...you know how easy it is to lose change down in the seats..especially old slippery vinyl seats. Imagine the older coins you could find if you took the time to get down in the seat or under. Most cars I saw 2day that old, had rear floorboards that had fallen out and had piles of rust underneath where the floor had just dropped into the soil after all the years of sitting. This could call for lost treasure/coins, ya know? It would be pretty hard to detect in that area or in a junkyard period..but a pair of gloves and a little free time could possibly score some coins out there somewhere..Im certain. Ever thought that one?:spin: Excites me...idk about you guys? Might make a day out of it one weekend and see what I come up with. I know the old guy at my local yard...just an idea for the rest of you treasure hunters out there!!! HH.

Never thought of that one, went to high school with a fellow that owns a wrecking yard and his father owned it before him, good thing is we still keep in touch. I think I'll drop in on him when I get back into town and see how old some of his wrecks are. Heck of a idea PIONEER202.
