I have the Ace 250, Fisher F5, but today I went and bought the detector I should have got the first time, the MXT. I got the MXT, the book "The MXT Edge" new for $786.00 tax and all, and the guy gave me a $50.00 carry bag after I bought the detector and book. Can't wait to give it a test run.

Welcome to the Dark Side (black detectors):detecting:I to cane over a few weeks ago with an MXT 300 I need to post my finds photos here. You will like the MXT as time goes on. I hunted for a week just digging trash until late last week. I got the same book, all I can say is read and reread it until the print is gone it is a lot better than the Op manual. It will not make you a expert over night but it does clear up a lot of questions on the machine. I sold my GTI 2500 and will be looking for a Spectra V3 next spring or some time this winter if I can find one used for a good price. I like these black detectors.

Welcome to the club. You will not be dissapointed. I have had mine for 8 months, of which I was able to use it for 6 months, and have found gold nuggets, a diamond ring, 4 silver rings of which one had an emerald, a 1882 IH, a 1897 barber, wheaties, and over $100 in clad. Once you figure it out, you will be very happy with your choice. It is 10 second turn on and go.....:clapping:

BIG congratulations! YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT! :clapping::clapping: HH, Nancy

I forgot to tell you that my MXT is over 8 years old and it's still going strong. I had it in for a physical last winter and all it needed was a new headphone jack. Not bad at all! Keep us posted and I wish you luck detecting. HH, Nancy

Yes'um I know, I've been running the Fisher F5 and reading the MXT forum for months now. LOL I feel like I know all of ya'll. I'm going to give it a work out today, going to run it in relic mode and try prospecting mode. As far as noise I like a detector that talks to you, I ran the F5 in all metal most of the time.

Congrats on your new MXT you going to love it .

I wish you luck on your first outting with the MXT. :detecting: HH, Nancy

You will really like it,coil selections are great down the line you may want the coil of choice for Mxt the 6x10...now doesn't that MXT fell like a substantial detector in your hands compared to the rest of the plastic ones!! Still lot to learn on it,but not hard to master with use and PRACTICE. Have fun, Steve

YES IT DOES!!!! Went out alittle today and man I love this detector already. Grab a bite to eat and going back.

You won't regret it.
I just got mine back from the repair shop.
Took it to a sports field for a test run to see how it was
working and let me tell you its like they gave it a new
life.

I had already been over the place with my two other back up detectors while the
MXT was being fixed. I went back over it with the MXT today and just cleaned
up on nickels that the Ace and Vaquero didn't find.

You have yourself one Heck of a machine.

Good Hunting to you.
