Well, well, well

I've had my CTX since mid-May but have been sitting around all day every day since recovering from hip surgery. But today my doctor gave me the green light to do just about anything I wanted. So what did I do? I took the CTX for my first hunt. I only hunted for about an hour but got to know the machine a little bit.

The first 20 minutes were torture for me. Not because of the hip, but because the dang thing was really messing with my shoulder. 15 minutes in, I was telling myself 'crap this beast is going to be on Ebay'. I was aching and fatique was really getting to me. But after about a half hour, I had learned to relax and let the thing swing the way it wanted to and that changed everything for me. I actually forgot I was swinging it. I didn't find anything good, but I was really impressed with the ergonomics. That's good enough for me for a first hunt.

The more you swing it the easy it will be I find the arm strap is key!

glad your able to enjoy MD again

Maybe because you have'nt been in awhile. Glad to hear you are recovering. Be carefull because you will be getting up and down digging targets. Take care of yourself and enjoy your new therapy tool. HH :goodnight::minelab:

That is great news Reeseb, The anticipation can kill you. Will have to get together for a hunt the week of July 17,18,19 or 20th.

Hope you continue to recover. The first few times I used mine I thought man this thing is really heavy!! But like others have said using the arm strap is the key. Now I don't even notice the weight of the machine when swinging it. Using the arm strap, relaxing with a smooth and easy swing seems to work for me,
