Only a very light dusting... But it does tell me that our fine autumn is over and now we are heading into the nasty cold winter.

More time in the shop!!

next day. Ground is not frozen yet so it don't last long. Its decent here again now. Perfect hunting weather. I'm hoping we have and easy snow year but who knows. For us, its those Noreasters just off shore on the coast that provide the moisture to bury us 40 miles inland. I'm about as ready as I'm going to be for winter. 30 yards of processed gravel on the grounds here for spring. Can't bring it in then as the driveway is way to soft. those big trucks just drop out of sight.
got plenty of wood in and down. New generator, extra fuel for all the things that need and all winterized. If the health holds, we are in good shape. Still might try and run another water line down to the barn. Just hate to dig up a 200 foot run this time of the year. It stays pretty soft unless I can compact it. Come spring you happen to drive over that new trench and you drop out of site. the other x factors is how many big boulders I run into. Rule of thumb here is a buck of rocks and a teaspoon of actual dirt. Dam glaciers.....

even down near the water they got 6-8 inches. We are higher up and always get a bunch more.
I think i will just set by the fire and hope it shovels itself. Power was out for about 8 hours and no internet last night, i did not bother with the generator and went to bed, enough water to make coffee on the wood stove this AM i figured and i would goof off a bit before i get the jenny going...........then herself just had to go into woman mode and flushed the toilet after one P:shrug:

Fortunately the power came back just as i was heading for the shop muttering and cursing:biggrin:

Grass is showing all over [what little we had melted].. and the temp right now is 1.2 censeless.. However, if the weather forecast hold true, this coming week looks to be pretty abysmal.
