After going over the posts of the 1300 vs. 1500 I came to this conclusion. Really, the Garrett picture of the imaging feature helped me. It showed size "A" as foil and size "C" as a class ring. Now, if you're a gold hunter you know what that means. For reality's sake, you only need one size for rings, since they fall in the foil and nearby areas. Using the quick response for small targets and the profiling feature would seem the correct option. Now if I was strictly a coinhunter, the 1500. Thanks to everyone.
 
I often thought I would use a 1500 for hunting gold rings in the foil and nickel ranges.
Anything that showed size B I would dig. I imagine there is still a lot of trash that would
masquerade as a gold ring and would probably miss some of the gold rings too.
Never got a 1500 but I still think about it. Anything that could improve the odds.
Might just have to get one and find out for myself. You sure have me thinking about it
