We reached a high of 107 degrees today. I put an ice cube on the railing of the deck and it melted in 72 seconds. I will be glad when the temperatures return to the normal range of 98 to 101 degrees. Kelley (Texas)

This June & July has had the longest stretch of 100+ days I can remember. We've had hotter stretches, where it hit 110+ for severak days, but not any longer ones. However, as of 30 July in Seguin, we broke it. It never hit 100 yesterday. It did get into the high 90s, but it didn't break the century mark. We had clouds from about 2 PM on & actually a few drops of rain.
