Well the old excaliber had a tuff tuff hill to climb today - that rookie excal. made us work mighty hard - i thought once that

the professor had carried some of his clad back to the lane and tossed in my zone, i had a record clad day for me - 17 quarters, 17 dimes, few nickels and stopped counting pennies at 40

climbing the hill with all this clad was not easy either, plus the silver and the jewelry, snagged a nice cross with a dove on it (a first)..........could not keep up with the rookie on gold, managed only one 10K...............

B U T - LADIES AND GENTELMEN - i actually saw Ina in the water, she was even wet - i like it.

ran into a new guy ron, from upstate new york..............be down a week...........lurking around the lane - fisher kinda guy

here is the spin down the lane - lot of pics again today

Very nice! I especially like the cross.

Yup, the targets are definitely poppin' down there. If you put the time in, you get the goods...it's that simple. Well, that and having a decent machine. And waving the coil over some booty helps too.

Graedigger,Very nice pictures again.I have a couple of comments on them,Nothing serious though.

#1 pic-Finest blue diamond you can find laying on a beach.
#2 pic-Tell sharkhunter to keep his coil level, swinging too wide causes the tilt up. That's how I caught myself doing that years ago, from a picture. But the tilt will always give you a false hit.Pictures never lie and are always helpful.
#3-pic-Ina and her blue scoop are up there with the fine blue white diamonds.
all the rest-Good tips on what type of footwear and scoops to use at the beach for us detectorists that only get there once in a while.

i heard a rumor that jim the teach is or has moved to Hawaii?

then there is vince, big rich, low tide tim, steve another new guy is getting one with the next week or so.................professor had a buddy from last year, i have not seen him yet, and Nacny from the club, i have seen here in the lane some..............

the lane is turning minelab blue - pretty soon we will have to have passing lanes established.

va beach ron is thinking about one, but leaning more towards cz 20.............same for sharkhunter

cool beans

One thing I will say is that my Excal may be fairly new but I hunted all last summer with the Elite and the only difference to me is that I don't have to worry about dropping the Excal in the water. Other than that, nothing has changed. I found a bunch last summer and looking good so far for this summer. I have two things on my wish list:

1) A diamond ring that surpasses the $2200 sparkler I landed last summer

2) A really nice gold chain.

Anything other than that will be icing on the cake.

people do it without knowing or thinking. Thanks for the tip!!!!

The plastic nut and bolt are as tight as I can get them and I have to keep pushing it down.I might have to drill it out and use bigger ones.

It looks as if the list of the Va Beach Surf Pirates is expanding and unless you want to walk the plank you need an excalibur..........
HH and good luck to all the surf pirates out there.....
