Well...the 6" EQ2 Detech coil and TTF mode got me these two cool buttons...

Only a handful of modern clad coins but nabbed these two buttons in TTF amongst a TON of chattering iron in my own back yard of all places! Man this combo is deadly for weeding out the good stuff. I'm really impressed at how well this little coil performed today. Great depth and awesome separation! Can anybody identify these for me? I think the larger one with the eagle is some kind of military coat button (maybe Navy?). The other looks like a ladies decorative coat button of some sort. HH George

I looked up the military type button and it looks like it was made between 1902-1918. It's a Great Seal General Service button with a ring of dots. I believe this button is made right up through the present as well. Not really a relic hunter but cool nonetheless!

The one piece button is definitely the older of the two..

Congrats on the great finds !

The secret formula is --- E-Trac - In 2 TF + Small Coil = Killer Finds !

The 6" EQ 2 coil is nothing short of fantastic - I dug Dime's at 7" plus many times with mine.
I used mine for hundreds of hours before it shorted out on me - your going to be amazed at how many great finds your going to make with yours !
I replaced my 6" coil with a 4.5" x 7" - both are great at finding good targets in heavy iron - getting into tight spots and best of all ... no hangups on brush !

Good luck this season !

Really nice old buttons!! I used a EQ2 pro excelerator exclusively for 3 years except for the two months I had to wait to order a new one after the first one quit.Bought a Sun-Ray Stealth x-5 and used it until my new Excelerator came in the mail . I hope this coil lasts as long as the old one did. Dont give up because you will find things you never dreamed of with it. In regard to the Stealth X-5 coil ,I still have it and can say its a very desirable coil too and would recomend it also!
