Landed this the other day!
But getting out to hunt doesn't look to good because the wife broke her left leg last Sunday, both bones just above her ankle, took two rods and four pins to put her back together again.

I'm looking forward to getting this one out and its coil on the ground.

Flash pictures at night in doors just don't do this detector justice!
The grip is a rich clean black, not a dirty gray.

NICE

I think you got a keeper there.

There's a video of the same detector being used at a DIV by Bill.

Yep! I had Bill Sign it before he shipped it to me, I thought it was a nice touch.
The biggest problem for me is figuring out all the Iron this and that? even though I will almost always run it in normal disc I will want to know how the rest of it works.

Mark between Ron and Shooter you will be covered on a quick learning process. What did you do trade him the Edge you had for the 1270?

Yep! but I didn't do an even trade I pitched in a few kicker items for boot,
A Garrett detector carry bag,
A Greek series 5" DD coil (later I will most likely get another one of these)

Bill figured the 1270 at $300.00 on fleabay, I figured the Edge somewhere around $225.00 those 5" DD coils are around $90.00 used when you can find them and I tossed the carry bag in as a free gift and told him I put it in there for packing.

That's a fine looking detector Mark, hope that you get a chance to use it before old man winter comes to town. Sorry to hear that your wife broke her leg, hope she heals quickly.

Thanks "Ski"
Taking care of the wife takes a lot of time, plus I still have a full time 40 hour a week job and from the looks of things the wife is going to be somewhat down for awhile. She can get up and move around on a walker at present, but standing upright for very long and here legs starts to hurt more than the pain medicine can deal with.
So, I don't know how much if any detecting I'm going to get to do before it starts snowing.

Looks like you got a great deal, she looks real clean. Good Luck with it Mark.

Thanks Shooter!
I still have the problem about getting out to hunt! on the weekends we have two grandkids stay with us, and now that the wife is down I have to tend to them. So, its breakfast for them and getting them ready for the day. Then the wife got up later so I fixed here breakfast, then I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen.
Then I had to go do some work for my stepson on his tractor trailer truck (that's a second part time job).
Got home in time to see the kids off.
Then I had to fix the wife and I dinner, cleaned up the dishes and the kitchen again,
Then she wanted to take a bath, so I setup the tube and helped here do that, then I cleaned up the bathroom and put it back to normal,
Now, I'm getting ready for work tomorrow and fixing the wife some easy to fix food for tomorrow unit I can get home and fix dinner, clean up the kitchen and the dishes................. LoL! well you get the idea.

So, I have four really nice detectors setting around here in our office that looks really good, but even a nice 60 degree day like today they are just setting here. And, it looks like its going to be at least another four weeks before she can walk on here leg, but, she is getting better at getting around on the walker and shes getting to where she is cutting way back on the pain medicine which means she'll be able to be upright for longer periods of time and will able to do more.
So, get all the silver coins you can, but just don't get them all! save me one or two LoL!
