ordered a 5" Excel from JW awhile ago. I thought
nothing could tear me away from the mini-shooter.
Watch the classified forum in a few weeks and we'll
see which one won out. I just had to do it since
ya said it was your primary coil on the MXT and
"it is opening up new ground for me that I have
already covered." Wowsers, here comes that feeling
again when I got some goodies coming in the mail.
Take care Monte and everyone else, RichardnTN

Just remember, I don't think I have ever said the Mini Shooter was bad, just that for me and my applications, the 5" Excelerator is better!
Enjoy!

You will not regret taking Montes advice. I did and got me a 5"excellerator. I am finding coins at good depth and have found a nice 1900 sharpshooter medal from the Mass volunteer militia.
A super little coil.

I find that mini shooter is a very hot coil in trash and cant see how any coil can be better, or at least where I hunt, but anything is possible.
You will have to let us know if you do any side by side testing.
Rick

Wondering which one is more sensitive to small gold nuggets thanks.

on the three small nuggets I did my comparisons with the 5" Excelerator worked the best for me. I have tried to make it a habbit for almost four decades now to have and use the best equipment for the challenges I encounter. There are a couple of detectors that I need to handle my tasks, and one of them is the MXT. To get the most out of the MXT for my applications I need to be sure I have the best assortment of coils. The 5" Excelerator is THE coil I use the most. It works, and it works well for me.

It's worth the money. I've never try the mini shooter, but the DD 5" exc is a niffty coil. I look for trashy areas to hunt. parking lot grassy areas. Remember to use relic mode, gain @ +3, no disc or low disc for maximum depth. HH

Richardtn,
Hi - you got the coil yet?
PLEASE let us know your findings and how it compares to the small Whites coils.
thanks
John

be here Friday and I can do some comparisons. Gotta
shot a wedding Sat. so I can't get out but maybe
Sunday. Best to all, RichardntN
