Well just got the F-75

Not sure if its your first machine or you have been hunting for years. Im still new to it too but every time i go out it gets better. Alot of hours swinging and reading everything you can find on the net. When you first use it i would go with the factory default setting and learn the machine for awile. You will hear alot of signals as it picks up alot of whats in the ground. Couple quick tips for ya.
1. At first dig only high/solid repeatable tones
2. the sweet spot on the coil when pinpointing is right where the lower shaft meets the coil.
3. Air test diffrent coins, tabs screw caps etc to get used to the signals.
4. Make a test garden:detecting:

anywhere near boston?.if so,the quickest way to learn the f-75 or any other detector for that matter is to hunt BOSTON COMMON!...350 years of trash and treasure!....make a couple of passes through that common, and you WILL know your f-75!..guaranteed!..rich in history, and FULL of "trash!"..
