Havent posted lately, ive still been detecting just not as much, its either the daylight, the weather or the new job. Still ive been going once a week. Not as much silver lately, but plenty of wheats and some old nickels. Ive been going to so called "hunted out areas" and using the dd coil if its not too trashy. Slowly very slowly i work. Checking signals from all angles. When i get a signal that pops between a dime and a penny i know its a wheat. Some of these targets i get a hit on only every 3rd or fourth swing. I pinpoint it and if its a compact signal i dig. 2-3 hour hunt today. THe five wheats are 1911, 1919, 1920, 1936, and 1944d all about 7-8 inches down. The buffalo is a 1916 again 8 inches and in Fine to Xf once i clean it up. Dont know about the red line. The ring was about 10 inches down. After finding about 5 buffalo now and ive learned what they hit like. They bounce penny nickel and dime, and are a solid pinpoint. ALot of the heavy hunted obvious areas are scarce on silver but theres alot of wheats and old nickels left behind. My dad took me out in his area friday. I used his Fisher (he as an explorer 2) and only found 3 wheats, he finds a 1906 barber dime, a kennedy half and a 1960 dime. I should of brought my garrett, because i was a little frustrated using the fisher, i suppose i just wasnt use to it. Was glad to get my garrett back today!!!!!!
