cz-7a pro.. Used a cz 5 along time ago.. Do the two operate pretty much the same?? Any quick tips you may want to share on this "new to me " detector..Any help or thoughts are always highly appreciated..

Thanks, Mark ( ohio )

Hi Mark, they are about as user friendly as they come. Get your ground balance down and go to town. Don't try to crank the sensitivity way up. Start with 4 or 5. I run my CZ70 at 6 and I am happy with it. Depending on what you are used to as a regular machine don't swing the CZ super fast. Slow it down and dig those signals that repeat from all four sides, like an X. Let us know how you get along.

Mark, you are now the owner of a really deep detector and fairly simple one to use. The ground balance is crucial on any CZ so when you get that right, you will be getting all the potential of the 7 apro. I set my disc at 1 to try to knock out iron and I don't notch any segments. Start out with your sens at 4 and try to up to 6 if you can. If it is unstable at 6, be satisfied that 4 will still find the 8 plus inches deep coins CZ's are famous for. Use a slow sweep speed and overlap your sweeps .I think the only way a CZ misses a good target is because people don't overlap enough. It is hard to believe that an eight inch coil will punch so deep, but in my opinion, 8 inch coils are small compared to what the newer detectors come with. Just remember, I am just up the road if you want to sell it. R.L.
