I can finally scratch this elusive coin off my bucket list! I can't believe this coin has managed to hide from me for this long. Anyways, 1920 S in great shape. This site is still coughing up coins :) and we're getting some great footage of all the chaos! Now I need a seated! Gonna have to travel a ways to get that though :/

SLQs are hard to come by, only found one and the Seated is still elusive to me too.
Congrats!

Good job Tones!

Congrats! That is a nice one. I still need one, too so if you think there's another one in there just give me a holler and I'll be right over!

Sweet....:clapping:

That's a nice one Brandon - only found a few with readable dates!

 Nice

got my one SLQ near the edge of a farm field that my uncle owns. talk about a random drop!

Congrats on taking one of those beauties out of the dirt, and off of your list! And don't be too concerned about finding that illusive seated coin. After all, if that one was 30 years older, it would have been Seated. Seriously, my part of the Country wasn't settled until the 1850's. And back when the first settlers arrived, they didn't have any reason to carry money because there was no place to spend it. Besides that, they probably invested everything they had on supplies to get here! The town wasn't incorporated until 1867. Even at that, I've found coins that date back to the 1830's. So keep doing your research and swinging the coil. Sooner or later you'll be finding your share of those seated ladies. HH Randy

Tones, congrats on the SLQ, the seated will come soon. I just found my second seated on Monday and wasn't expecting it, crap signal, it will come when you least expect it. You find plenty of Indians and V nickles.

This coin - it's a quarter, right? - was the very first silver coin I found with my DEUS here in East Germany on a forest way not far from some GDR coins.
This was quite a surprise, since US forces were only here for a short time before handing over to Soviet army.
Also interesting - no year readable any more since it was somewhat worn.

Best greetings from Germany
Olaf

Wow, crazy that a us quarter made it all the way over there and then you found it!

Digger- yeah there's got to be a seated around here somewhere. I just can't seem to put the coil over it. I'm right there though. Last week I managed 13 barbers, 8 Indians (1880-1901), and 8 V's including an 1885! Just can't seem to get that seated! I have some big opportunities coming up soon though so I might come across one... I hope
