My buddy Lee and I hit that place yesterday morning where I found that merchants token. Got there a little past 8:00 am as it was going to be 80 plus degrees. They are really moving the dirt around now where all the old housing units use to be and the pickings are really getting slim and not too long from now anything left to find will be buried under who knows how many feet of dirt. We weren't there but about twenty minutes and I got this sweet sound and down about three inches I see silver. I yelled for Lee to come over and he said what is it. I said I don't know cause I didn't look yet. Well, it was a 1936 merc. Lee said, how in the heck did we miss that critter before. Ended up with only the merc and a 1917 wheat which was kind of neat cause that was my dad's birth year. Not as exciting as the 1917 WLH I found awhile back, but I don't have to tell you that it sure made me think about my dad. Lee ended up with about eight wheats with his oldest being 1919. I got about $1.50 in clad and a ton of small pieces of metal crap. Wish I had more to show for my efforts, but like I always say, just getting out and being with my good buddy makes whatever we find worth it. Thanks for looking fellows and HH to everyone.
